The platform allows users to control firmware updates through a folder system.
There are two types of folders–firmware and configuration–which hold files of the matching type. Folders (not files) are assigned to individual devices, one of each kind of folder maximum.
Each folder can have one and only one of its contained files marked as 'active.' Every time the device connects to the server, the system compares the name of the firmware file that the device reports to the name of the active files in the device's assigned folder. If there is a mismatch, the device will be told to update to the active file.
With this system, many devices can be updated with a single change in the selection of the active file.
Use these methods to upload and manage firmware files and folders.
